New Map! [Archive] - ForumsHQ

Post by Luther »

I was doing a little tinkering around today, let me know what you think. Obviously this is just a map with no monsters, items etc. Try and get those creative juices rolling so we can hopefully start adding areas, to this forum version of doormud.

Creating maps for me is the easy part. What's proven to be the hard part is creating mobs, items, spells and abilities that are balanced with previous gameplay, but also create challenge for future gameplay.

I'd be down for making a town, but work's not going to let it happen for the next few days. If people wanted to make some mundane stuff first, we can throw that in a shop or three.

New areas can be connected to it, and I'd imagine we can add a command to the mirror of tele, or have it past the diamond jugg in the eye or something fun like that. Nomad's house? Don't think he's instant regen after the quest is done, or is he?
