Figured this fit in Misc. Music.
I currently DJ for a shoutcast station. Were not live 24 hours aday but we have several tallented and decent WebDJ's who play a variety of music ranging from Techno to Metal to classic Rock.
Stream Addresses:
http://hfr.hfbgaming.com:8000/listen.pls (Highspeed)
http://hfr.hfbgaming.com:8100/listen.pls (56k)
How to tell if were on:
hfr.hfbgaming.com:8000
or
#Hfr on the Gamesurge network of IRC
My Playlist: http://ancientstronghold.com/relorian/music.htm
Now i realize that because were not on 24X7 its kinda hard to tell when were on and when were not but when we are on its kickin and fun and good times. Were also lookin for dedicated DJ's to broadcast but that takes time and effort beyond just being a listener.

I used to host a shoutcast station for Punk and Ska music. Its really a neat concept for those who want to share there material on an easy medium.

Yeah its very easy to do from a user stand point... and even easier from a listener standpoint. I realy do enjoy doing it and love doing request shows.

Well Relie, I looked at your playlist and have to say.. not really my kind of stuff. There were probably 15-20 bands I either like, or don't mind listening to once in a while. So sorry... this gal won't be a listener... but glad you are having fun with it anyway! If it is any conselation, my station no one would listen to... grunge, country, blue grass, classical, rock, jazz, opera, techno, industrial, rap... I like to many varied things.. and I am very picky... that is why they call me Picki Niki!

Mine would consist of metal, heavy metal, grunge metal, punk, death metal, etc. etc.. Generally, the kind of stuff you never want to hear if you have a headache.
Of course, when I throw in the occassional Boys II Men, UB40, or random pop song that I don't think sucks, I'd likely make a lot of enemies. :P

Re: Happy Fun Radio [Archive] - ForumsHQ
grunge, classical,opera, techno,
Those i do have but ive found that not listing them gets me less "WTF is this doing here" responces from list lookers. Ive got a rather extensiave opera collection (if you dont mind they came off 78 speed records from the 30's) and a semi decent Classical collection (If i ever get it off my DVD backups).
But yeah, as i said its not up 24X7 but when ever im around i DJ and the other DJ's do their thing as time permits.
