Anyone a court jester?

Post by IslaScotts »

English Heritage said in an advertisement in the Times on Thursday applicants for the competition at the weekend should bring their own costumes with bells, but said it would provide a bladder on a stick -- a traditional jester's prop. Would-be fools should attend a public audition Saturday at Stoneleigh Park in central England, wearing their costumes.

This has got to be one of the coolest things I have read in a while. It is for real.. so if anyone lives or wants to travel to England that has had a lifetime dream of being THE court jester here might be your only chance.

Probably pays in pound sterling, as England isn't using the euro (yet)

shrug, could be cool. But I doubt it's as cool as in the days of old. In the days of old, the jester was known about almost as much as the King & Queen.

John Cleese is Monty Python. If it wasn't for him, Monty Python wouldn't have exsisted.
