How would I go about moving the char. files from one pc to another, I am putting a fresh install onto a different pc but want to keep the chars i have and all thier items and such. Also would i be able to move mod 8 char files into a mod 9 install?

to move chars from one pc to another, just copy the wccitow2.dat (item owners), wccuser2.dat (users), wccbank2.dat (banks), wccgang2.dat (gangs) to the computer.
to move mod 8 chars, what you should do is upgrade the mod8 to mod9 first and let mud load up so it does all its conversion crap, then copy those files over.

Unfortunately, all I have is the mod 8 char files and a mod 9 board. Is it possible to make the files compatable? I tried going from mod 8 to 9 and i got the

btrieve update error 22 on file wccuser2.dat
my mod 8 board is wg3.2 tho so i figure thats the problem there, but is there a way to take those char files and get them working in mod 9 version n?
