Dark Pheonix Quest

Ok... I have looked at old dats, new dats... young dats.. never before seen dats... and I can't figure out WHY the 4th quest isn't working! Any alignment... I have looked at the textblocks, spells and the monster. But nothin is workin!



Help..... please :)

What part about it doesn't work? Can they GET the quest? Can they complete part of the quest? Do they get transported to that one guy after getting the quest?

everything is fine, up until they need to kill DP... once they kill the DP it doesn't let them continue the test. It keeps saying they have to kill the dark pheonix.

you do realize that it is megamud saying that they have to kill the phoenix and not majormud right? did anyone actually check to see if the user really does have whatever ability the phoenix is giving?

i think he is refering to the sys god user inf command...



i would check the phoenix death spell...

yup, I checked it :) it is supposed to increment the questflag by 1... and it doesn't. I have to go in and manually enter it on the player and give the place 30mill exp

i've sent him every part of the dark phoenix and it's death spell (textblocks, spells, and monster) straight from the dats to import and he said it still don't work.

You know whats weird..I had this exact same problem. Users were aligned right, at the right part of the quest, the text block was setup right (compared it), the users werent 10 spelled (dark phoenix death is 2 round duration), etc etc...and his death simply would not trigger the end of the quest. I had to manually do it for about 2-3 days, then suddenly after that I never had the problem again..



You remember when I brought that problem to you, don't you Syntax? You sent me the replacement files because you couldn't see anything wrong either.



It's weird, I don't really know what causes it..and I have no clue what happened to fix it, but like I said, I only had the problem for a few days. Then out of the blue - before I put in Syntax's replacements - it started working right again. This was on new classes, old classes, new races, old races (I know textblocks don't check race, just saying..)

nod, the file i sent him was the one i still had from when i made it for you. i told him that too so he would know other peeps were seeing this problem.
