If you have a MAC, Final Cut Pro is decent. Premiere is awesome too, hard to learn though. If you're just try to do some quick things, try taking a look at like "Ulead Video Studio." It doesn't have nearly the features that Premiere and Final Cut have, but it works pretty well and is easy to use.
