Just curious. Is there a way to make monsters not hostile to you if you're a certain race/class/level?

Like if a dark-elf walks thru a dark-elf city, he wouldn't be attacked by every random dark-elf.

or

A thief walking thru his guild unharmed, while every other class would get attacked for tresspassing.

or

A level 4 walking into a castle to seek the king, while a level 15+ would get attacked for "attempted assassination".

Just some random examples obviously. I'm guessing a race can be given an ability, and monsters won't attack ppl who have that ability.. or is that not possible? Sort of the same idea with the class? And I'm not sure if level checks are possible like that.

Ideas/suggestions/comments welcome. :)

This can be done with an item kinda like an emblem for a gang house, that's how i've done it in the past, check the guardians for the badattack ability, this works but is a pain in the ass to setup all the monsters this way.

i.e. the gold emblem is item #1050, the gold guardain has the ability 185. badattack 1050

Are items the only way to do it?
