Ansi Graphics

I want to add graphics to my board, but I haven't done any editing with graphic before so I'm a bit lost as to where I need to look/edit in the graphics. Someone wanna help me out? Thx.

Bleh..me too..ANSI's aren't real easy to come by..everyone says the KNOW how to do it but none of em will..grin.

You can grab a copy of TheDraw or AcidDraw online and make your own ANSIs... failing that, you can grab TheBrush and use its gif-to-ANSI converter. The pics come out a little odd looking (and usually need some touching-up in a drawing program) but they're definitely usable.

yeah, i found both of those earlier. They work...to a limited degree. Where do I add them to the board tho? do i have to edit one of the config files or can i do it through some sort of sysop options?

most are added from start\programs\worldgroup server\utilities\edit text blocks

then go to the core and you can add menus and screens for each are if you wish. it is kinda of tricky tho.

always try to make a backup of the way they are now before messing with them. otherwise you may find yourself re-installing again cuz the shit will be fucked and you will not know how it was originally...(been there done that)

nod. did that once already to the realms when i was working with a few edits....damn little bastards decided to barf on me and i had to reinstall the 3 realms. not fun...not fun at all. I'll make sure to back it up tho. otherwise i'll get to add wg to the joyous hell that is me yelling at my comp. ;)

There's thousands of real good ansi menus and shit like that on the internet. Just search for ansi menus or something like that. I had set up a board for myself and some friends a year back and noticed afterwards that I was using the same graphics as Sinister Urge. I guess Edge found them the same place as me. Just do a google search and see what you come up with, a lot of places you can download thousands at a time in a zip file and just go through them with aciddraw.
