World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I posted this question a long time ago and was told that it wasnt possible. NOW, this is a question for MrBlack or AdmiralAcid: Do you know where the flag is (if at all in LJN) that allows you to sys lightning all. If theres a flag or a code to edit this i would like to make a duplicate of that command string only to do the opposite effect. Heal the realm, like the old DikuMUD used to have.
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Ill assume nobody has an answer to this question then?
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
I dont think it can happen.. It would be pimp tho
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
The sys commands are held within the dll I beleive, and in order to edit them, you'd wanna edit that file...don't even know where you'd begin...I think it could be done, if you could reprogram the dll somehow...
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Necroposting this topic because we've learned a great deal over time about majormud. This is a bump to see if anyone knows of a solution now a days.
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
no idea. dont see a way to do it with textblocks or spells, would have to use sys commands, if at all possible. as far as i know, that is.

Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
i know that the dll can be modified to rename sys commands, cause i removed the sys lance command from my game for the fuck of it. it can also be edited to change where they point (what functions they call).
the problem there becomes the fact that there's no pre-setup sys command to full heal even a single person. i'd say the best bet would be totally replace one of the more useless sys commands with a modified version of sys lightning, changed to add hps instead of subtracting. then figure out which variables point to the target of the command and substitute the check for a default of 'all' - if that can be done, anyway, which i'm not certain about. making the target 'all' might take yet more added code, which naturally would have to be first written in assembly then translated to the compiled dll without changing the bit values of any of the rest of the dll.
basically, it'd take a bunch of digging in the code, and then you'd have to find a useless sys command for which the default code is a larger byte value than the edited sys lightning command. it's probably not worth it, but it could theoretically be done.

Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
you wouldn't be able to traget "all" ... you would have to iterate through all the members playing and do whatever to them.
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
You could make a spell that teleported you to every single room and cast a healing spell. Could probably be done in access or something.
Re: World Heal [Archive] - ForumsHQ
Must it be fully mudside? I would think the sys lightning hack along with your favorite scripting terminal could quickly index and heal everyone in the realm for 9999 health real quick-like. Of course, I'm also so high right now I could eat my keyboard. MmmMmMMm....qwerty....
