You should look in the new hard drive manual for other jumper settings. Sometimes older motherboards will require that you have special jumper settings on the HDD to get it to be recognized. Is it actually finding the new drive when it boots off the second drive?

Try switching where each drive is connected on the IDE cable if you are using the same channel.

Double check the bios and verify the order that it is using for the boot device. The BIOS is the only thing I would think would be able to do that.

Re: I am in Love

Building a computer is pretty easy now days but a lot of people wouldn't have a clue where to start still.

I work with some pretty clueless people. I get to talk to burger king managers about their computers. I get to hear from some of the craziest people in the world.

Re: I am in Love

Not just because it is colored, even though it does have some nice colors.

It has dual DDR with up to 6.4 gb's of bandwidth.

Serial ATA 150.

Raid 133.

Hypertrheading.

Some more incredible features that I can't remember right now.

Check out the link.

Has anyone actually made it past level 5 yet? Because it always appears to be registered and then when you make it to level 5 it won't let you get level 6.
