I remember in the heyday of music television there was actual music playing on TV. I missed being able to turn on the TV and see live performances or music videos. I was flipping through DirecTV and noticed that they have free music channels and that they were playing this show called CD USA. They were playing a lot of mainstream artists but hey, live performances are what I dig. I even logged onto their website and their myspace account to give em some input. Is this where music television is heading? Is it a good thing?

I think nearly everyone remembers the days when MTV ruled all. It's just the death of reality t.v., that's it. And my friend told me about that show since he has D.T.V. (Damn me and my not having cable or satelite) Anyway, he told me about it and I went to his place and watched it, and I gotta say that it was actually quite good. I'm hoping that MTV will notice how good that show is and take some notes on how to really be dedicated to music.

Music Television is dead. TRL prolly has the most of amount of new videos on at one time, with the exception of marathon or jam session on mtv/mtv2 which rarely happens anymore. Basically since direct tv and dish network were concieved they have had mini juke box channels, catorgorized by genre which is pretty kewl in itself. Then saletite radio came out, and really was a popular thing, and still is now Sirus and Dish Networked have joined up so you can listen to the Sirus channels on your dish. Then Direct was like shit we need something comparable and they are in the process if they haven't already joining up with XM radio. Listening to music on your tv/home theater/audio system is whats hot right now. Far as video's and concerts on tv, shrug I really think they are few and far between. Just seems like its not cost effective.

I agree with Luther and to add my 2 cents I hate MTV now. I cant stand watching crybaby little girls or guys that are dumber then rocks. The sad part is many many teenish people watch it and create role models from them. MTV is now a 24/7 reality/attention whore tv channel.







On the flip side I like watching VH1s I love the ##'s. Lots of flashbacks that I grew up with, its alot of fun to watch and wonder why we ever thought we were cool. Tube socks that reach the bottom of your sack were once cool.....

I haven't watched MTV in forever. There's a new MTVHD, it's not the real MTV, it's like, music television, I don't really understand it, but its VH1, MTV, and CMT all together, and all they play is uninterrupted music videos and concerts 24/7. It's on Cox Communications HD lineup, I really enjoy it. Then again, I really enjoy all my HD channels.

I have seen that show cd usa and I have also checked out the website... I am a buddy on their my space profile and have suggested that they bring metallica on there they are only the best ever and with such a great show why not?

I just wanted to add that I heard that lifehouse will be on the show this week and that if you use the shows myspace you can ask bands questions that might get asked over the air

I hate watching much music now. All they ever play is reality shows constanly expecially the VJ search. They have been playing it 4 days straight, it gets annoying. I love watching music videos alot better. Stick with the music videos not the stupid reality shows!
