Attempting to load from:0 error

Access Violation: Attempting to read from: 0. This happens whenever I try to go into the major mod 9 area under the frozen caverns. I believe I've followed the instructions I've seen here and in Morbid's site to the letter... My sys list limited_items shows only the items that have been added into older areas: Belt of Faith, Ancient Sword, Crest of Silvermere. My log doesn't show that mud is running in a demo mode. Is there a specific code that needs to be entered as the activation code for mod9? I was under the impression I could put whatever I wanted there. Any insight would be appreciated... Malogrym

Just an update... after 7 to 10 mins, my sys list lims now includes pretty much everything i've ever heard of from mod9 as well. Still gives me the Access Violation: Attempting to read from: 0 though. Still wondering if this is a validation code problem. Running version H.

Another update, i can look east into the mod9 area and see the room description and new monsters (giant locust and dark cupid) but if i walk east it crashes with the Access Violation: Attempting to read from: 0 still.

go into the 'sysop' option under majormud. 'add the activation code for mod 9' (and make some codes up for the other mod's if their not listed)

Agreed with admiral, you have to enter bogus codes in the mod area or it'll freak

thank ya both, i had tried doing that. but for some reason mud didn't like codes that had numbers in them? once i switched the code to all cap letters it was fine weird, eh?
