Just one thought?

Been reading about door games and they talk about putting swap in your config.sys so that dos can share a file.

Not sure if that is what the problem is but thought it my have something to do with it? But on that note I have no idea how to add swap to the config!

That error is completely unmud related ;)

Did you try to run the bbs before installing mud at all? it is most likely from a wg setup error. Start fresh and check each config if need be.

Yea I have been runnin it for about 3 months now. I was adding another realm to the server. That is when it happened.

To get the board back up I had to remove wxxmmpls.mdf, mxxmmud.dll, and wzzmud.mdf.

Here are the instructions I had to go by to try to set up anohter mud!

place MajorMUDs.exe in the dir where wgserver.exe is located

make sure MajorMUD is installed

now in a dos window

cd to that dir

and type majormuds

after that completes

(XX=your combination of letters)

hex edit wXXmmud.dll find and replace all the wCCs with wXXs.

then edit wXXmmutl.exe find and replace all the wCCs with wXXs.

then edit wXXmmpls.mdf find and replace all the wCCs with wXXs.

you have to then find and replace MajorMUD Plus with whatver you want

like MajorMUD Plus2 nothing above 8 chars though.

then hex edit wXXmmud.mdf find and replace all the wCCs with wXXs

you have to then find and replace MajorMUD with whatver you want

like MMUD2 nothing above 8 chars though.

after all of that

type wgsrunmt

and add your other mud to a module page on your games menu.

then fire your BBS up.

I did just that and when I tried to bring back up the board is when I got the error!

All I can think is that you missed a file or two in there when hex editing the 2nd games files. Since micahs instructions really arent the best in the world, I don't know what to tell you ;)

Of course, his stuff doesn't come with guarantees or warranties, and since I didn't even bother to test the program on my system, I don't know anything about it or what might be wrong with it.

Sorry..

Ok I have recieved another program that does the same thing!

I am still having the same problem but I have limited it down a little.

Out of the two set of insructions I have put together this set:

wXXmmud.dll - replace wcc with wXX

wXXmmud.exe - replace wcc with wXX

wXXmmud.mdf - replace wcc with wXX & Change the mod name

hex edit

wXXmmpls.dll - replace wcc with wXX

wXXmmpls.mdf - replace wcc with wXX & Change the mod name

hex edit

wxxmmutl.exe - replace wcc with wXX

The only problem I have is I dont have a file called wXXmmud.exe for that matter I dont have a file called wccmmud.exe?

Does any of that make any since?
