ok people here is an update on whats goin on. my modem fried so the local dsl provider had to ship a new one to me. well that took 3 days to arrive and now im having trouble logging into it. some kinda ip conflict thing and no its not wg. so i am now working on figureing out whats up so please bare with me. oh and please dont flame on here. thanks guys

When dealing with cable/dsl modems, there can be different IP strands. I'd check your IP through aim or some other program to make sure you have the right one. When I ran a bbs ages ago, I had a problem with ip conflict. It turned out that I had to go through the modem settings and change a bunch of different little things to make the bbs connectable to others. I don't know much about these things, but if you need some information, just search threads by my first screename on here, lyki, and look at the threads containing posts I made about my bbs.

I fixed it thanks alot lyki for the input but its up and running now. i just have to fix the windows issue im having atm. i can only boot up in safe mode. but i got the bbs up and running.
