Video Game Violence Verdict "GTA made me do it" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8889445/) guy of capital murder for shooting two cops and a radio dispatcher then blaming GTA for “making” him do it. People blaming video games for real world violence…take note. Thanks to [H]ard|OCP (http://www.hardocp.com) for this one.
Defense lawyers had partly blamed Moore’s actions on the hours he spent playing video games from the “Grand Theft Auto” series, in which players shoot police officers and steal cars. After his arrest, told police, “Life is a video game; everybody has to die sometime.”
My 2 cents: This reminds me of the whole 80's thing where parents were blaming Dungeons & Dragons saying it turned their kids from God and made them occultists.
