I originally posted this here (http://ebayhotbuy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1453) (login required)... maybe our HUGE audience can help me :P
I ordered an ivory V1-V3 ps2 fliptop on 4/12/05, and I tried to install it a little bit but didn't have much time so I gave up for awhile.
I have the e-mail still if I need to prove I ordered it

anyway, I believe I was either
1. sent the wrong order
2. or there's something wrong with my ps2 perhaps?
My PS2 has 10 screws and was otherwise identified as a V1-V3 PS2, so that is the version of fliptop I ordered.
I lined up the original PS2 dvd top with the fliptop, and you can see that the fliptop version looks "backwards". on the left, the thin pins are on the far-side whereas on the right, the pins are on the close-side.

As you can see, on the V1-3 PS2, the thin pins are near-side whereas on the V4-11 the pins are on the far-side (both facing the same direction). The fliptop I received matches the DVD top of the V4-11... but I was unable to find any information saying that it was actually the other way for V1-3 compared to V4-11...
Moreover, all installation guides I see say that the white disc should just snap into place, but when I put it into the fliptop, it isn't set, it wobbles and moves around.
So which is it, was I shipped the wrong version or is there something "wrong" with my ps2?
