I have a 92 honda cr 125 that I bought for my kid. The bike starts and idles fine and as long as you keep the rpms up, it will run like a 125... making power while on the pipe.

But when the rpms drop and out of corners, it will fall on it's face. I have a fresh top end and all the bottom seals have been checked out at the local shop. We installed boyseen reeds and it has a FMF gold series pipe. I believe the jetting is right, and it will not ping. The fuel is mixed 30 / 1. I have checked for and found no air leaks. The motor has a new wiseco piston and rings (54.5mm) with new gaskets.

My friends kid's yz 80 smokes this 125, and it's getting hard to swallow.

Please help

have you tried tweeking the air fuel settings on the carbs. try tuning up and down and taking passes with each attempt. that might help something.
