and chance of getting a higher exp x? or lowering class/race %?

I want to keep the integrity of the game somewhat the same to make it less difficult to figure out exp in calculators and the like.. so I'll most likely keep Race/Class %'s the same. And the reasoning behind 2x is because those players starting from scratch still have the ability to be in their 60's after 2-3 months of play.. warrior/thief/etc could even be higher. Also after a few months, gangs could still have the ability to significantly power level a rerolled character or friend to within top 25 potential. 2x also helps loosen scripting spot conflicts and keeps the game with a strong incentive to climb higher over the long haul. My experience has been that a lower xp modifier allows the realm to stay within competitive reach of each other, keeping the board going longer with easier ability for new people to join the realm later on and not feel discouraged.



I'd like to start it out with 2x and once we get a user base, if the majority of the users feel they want the modifier bumped up, I'll have no problem bumping it up. Then of course I'll add more difficult scripting spots to accomdate the higher level players, etc

any plans on adding the lair mod?

I want to see how many people are interested in the new realm, and then I'll add it soon after if people are having scripting area conflicts.. or really wanting the new scripting xp boost. So it's already at the front of my mind.

you would need to edit quest and monster exp. the other reason lowering % is better is because it cuts down the problems of exp table rollover when you start getting into exp >4 billion. you may not encounter this issue if you don't intend for characters to get this high, but check out how much exp a nekojin mystic needs to level from 88 to 89 with the legit table.
