Corrupted database

I'll post the missing details when I get home tonight (posting from work)
WorldGroup version:
MajorMUD version: Version n
Nightmare Redux version:
How long board's been running: approx 2 months with 0 prolbems
Last thing(s) edited: cave worm exp = 100000
What was already edited: Only edit - cave worm exp = 100000
Specifc error message received (verbatim):
======================================================
Im new to editing. I just installed Nightmare Redux and made my first edit. I changed the exp of the cave worm to be 100,000 exp. I compiled and pushed the new update file. I started up MMud and everything was working perfect and my chars were making mad exp at the cave worm. I let it run over night and when I woke up there was an error saying I had a corrupt database that couldn't be fixed automatically (I think this problem occured during cleanup). I recovered the backup file and MMud started working again. I then compiled and installed the cave worm edit again and the corruption error was back, so I recovered the standard update file again which allowed the system to work once again.
What confuses me is: The system worked fine after I pushed the edited update file. After/during cleanup I started having problems. What would cleanup do to cause corruption problems?
