HOW many TIMES must we deal with younger players causing ruckus on boards? I am at a point where I am just ready to say 'to hell with it' and just start suspending them the first time they make any ruckus.



I'm SICK of kids talking back to the staff... I'm SICK of the kids that come in thinking they know more about your board then they do.



I'm SICK of kids that come in and declare that they would make better staff then the current... that is all the more reason for them NOT to have ANY kind of immortal power.



I'm SICK of kids that play mud just to cause trouble. They make me want to pull out my hair and scream, the whole time running a cattleprod to my genitalia.



I MEAN GADS! Don't we have a DAMN tough enough time already keeping up with our boards without these FOOLISH little KIDS coming in and causing trouble?



They think they know what it's like... I would like to see them be in the position we are in.



I would like to see them try and juggle over 100 telepaths a day from various players with information they think needs to be changed and/or implemented into the game.



I would like to see THEM try and deal with the crashes, the lag complaints, the rants, the raves.. e.t.c. And then see if they still hold their SANITY.



If you cannot deal with playing on a FREE board, with the occassional lag, then GET THE HELL OFF. We pay the bills, not you.



THESE FUCK'S (Sorry... a tad upset) don't realize how HARD we have it. They don't realize that running a board actually requires work. They don't realize how much stress this can put on us in RL as well.



And to those damn kids that can't handle a txt rpg as JUST A GAME... GET THE HELL OFF OUR BOARDS. If your IQ and emotional stability isn't high enough to handle a bunch of text scrolling across your screen, then you do not deserve to play.

I wanted to send a kudo to every board staff member/owner that has gone through any of this. You guys are the reason these boards stay in the condition they do. You guys are the reason that alot of players will stay on a mud.



Thanks to my staff and Lunar's as well for putting up with all of the IDIOTS that we have gotten.

grin, i was 14 when i figured a rudimentary (although proven bad way) of disabling wccupda2.dat... in one foul swoop... the upshot... no more curroptions... no more initialization lag... the downer... it was a very bad way of editting... and it broke things... i believe now we just edit the wccupda2.dat itself and or compile a new one... it's our friend... or something



but still.. KIDS like i once was aren't all so bad... considering the amazing potential kids have to learn things...i got a lot of stuff done when i was younger in mind...

I agree. Tho thankfully lunar tends to drive away most kids like that it still drives me crazy that we get one once in a while.

AMEN! I think you just about said it all. Except, I think you forgot one thing...The kids who DON'T EVEN PLAY ON YOUR BOARD who tell you what you are doing wrong and how you should do it the "right" way.

Ignorance is bliss. Personally, if I were one of the "kids" on your bbs and read this post, and my main drive was to piss you off, I'd feed off this. Main thing to understand about these guys is that if you don't fuel a fire, it'll die out quick. Getting frustrated or rebutting to their comments only makes them more entertained. You have to think of a child who wants attention at a young age. They begin to cry or scream when not paid attention to. If you continue to stop paying attention to them all together, they grow up feeling unwanted and join a rock group or kill themselves. Although the latter makes things much easier, since I don't feel like hearing another Good Charlotte-esque band bitch about nothing, they both get them off your case. Now obviously ignoring majormudders won't necessarily drive them to suicide, except maybe one or two, it will get them to either get bored with your system or just shut up and play. I know from experience that when sysops ignored me at younger ages, I decided they "couldn't deal with my criticism and were scared to try and go against me", and I left or shut up. Just my two cents, and I'm much more of an asshole mudder than any of you, so my cents should matter..Yeah, take that fuckers.
