I found this posted on another forum (http://www.p2pforums.com/index.php?sid=99e6f49b6e4a5eae9e2fbf0be176bb97). This listed procedure will give you an English language interface for a 1GB Yahoo China account. The regular (English)Yahoo.com account only offers 100MB, but you can increase that amount 10X by folowing these steps:



IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A YAHOO ACCOUNT: go to #12 (or follow pictures at bottom of post)



1. Create a Yahoo ID. You can create one here:

copy paste this link on ur address bar



http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_register?



2. UNCHECK the 'Create my free Yahoo! email

address'. Give an alternate non-yahoo email address.



3. Complete the procedures, then logout after.



4. Activate your chinese-domained email adress by going to http://cn.mail.yahoo.com ( THE PAGES WILL BE IN CHINESE FONT )



5. Fill in your newly created Yahoo ID and password and click the button below.



6. two text boxes appear for your name. Fill in whatever name you want to appear on your mails.



7. You will have initially 100 MB of email space.



8. Logout.



9. Login to Yahoo Messenger ( YM ), using your newly created Yahoo ID. if you don't have YM installed, donwload it here:

10. Add at least a contact/friend. If you don't have anyone to add, add this ID: chowyeuw



11. Logout.



If you already have a Yahoo account, start here.



12. Go to http://cn.mail.yahoo.com



13. Click the *glowing* 1G icon.



14. A new page will be opened on a new browser window.



15. Fill in your newly created Yahoo ID and password on the the 2 text boxes below. Then click the yellow button under.[ I think it says Sign-in]



16. Just click the right buttons that appear succesively.



17. Now you have 0% of 1.0GB

Your default language will be English, with free POP3.







If you need help with understanding the Chinese characters, use any online translator such as Systran (http://www.systran.net)

final picture, click button, and it'll open your account showing you have 1gb of space. I have dont this 3 of my yahoo accounts.

Or..you can't not learn chinese just to get email and ask one of the thousands of people with GMAIL invites (the excessive amount that we all get) and get a legitimate 1 GB of space...?!?!? ;) Yahoo mail sucks, i use it for spam and signing up on places..that's it.

I have 4 gmail accounts, 2 of walla.com, and 3 on yahoo, all are 1gb. Do you think I have enough.



Platinum, if your follow the pictures, then you can upgrade your exsisting yahoo account to 1 gb.

Well I could probably use more, but I'll stick with what I've got for now. It'll all depend on how quickly these fill up :hehe:



Also there are things about yahoo that are better than gmail.

Gmails in beta still, that's why some things are better. Yahoo still sucks. What the hell do you have a need for all of those email addresses? Shit I have two, one for signups, and one for personal, that's all I need. How are you filling up these gigs of emails, porn?

2 of my yahoo accounts are for business stuff, One is for my friends Both Walla accounts are for garbage.

1 gmail is for other, and 1 is for anything else, and the other 2 are currently un-used.



and one Hotmail account for my messenger :D

daaaamn dude, thats a little bit too much effort for my taste ;) I like to keep it simple. Hell I forget to check this place anymore unless I have a PM or I'm just bored as shit at work.
