Validation, hey isn't that what newbie sysops use cause they dont know how to shut it off.

I'd say it's a much more effective way of preventing people from running too many accounts, thus not having to suspend someone 2000 times for having too many characters online at once. Sound like a familiar problem?

The downside to Validation is, it stops alot of people from joining all together, cause I know I dont check my email accounts everyday, I have 8 email accounts, 4 on yahoo. 2 on gmail, 1 on walla, and 1 on hotmail, I'll go months without checking 1/2 of them.



So I wonder how many validations waited a couple of days to be validated, and the owners just gave up in frustration?

Probably not many if Drago checks the sysop mail. New User Signup Notices can go in there. I'm personally not a huge fan of validation, although I used it myself on Sinister for awhile. The board's worth any wait though. It's the only one I've played on besides mine in years. (excluding Lunar since I just script and I'm only there to be an op)

If people would IM me like I said, validations would happen a lot faster... as it is, I remember to check usually once every other day or so and validate anyone I see that should be. Since this reminded me, I validated today.

Just a note: I'm going on vacation for the next week and a half or so.. the board will be up (unless someone manages to crash it good enough to keep it down).. I will be checking on it time to time, and I'll do what I can to keep it running smoothly.
