I'm trying to make a bootable CD that will let me boot all the machines we have and load the appropriate network cards so we can get on the network from DOS. I have all my files and scripts ready to go and I know it will work, I just need to get the files on the CD and have it read my files on boot.



In Nero when I create a bootable disc, it wants to read all of the boot information from a floppy and wont allow me to add my own files. Even if I add files to the compilation, those aren't used for the boot process, they're just there afterwards. It will only use the config.sys, autoexec.bat, etc from the floppy disk for the boot process. Isn't there some way I can specify a source for the boot sector info but then put on my own files that it will read for booting? My CD will end up being like 100MB so obviously I can't put them on a floppy.

check out www.ultimatebootcd.com Its pretty handy, somewhere on there you can find info on how to add your own stuff to the bootcd. It has alot of dos based apps on it already so it would probably be easier to add stuff to than getting nero to do it. www.bootcd.us is another good resource, the pebuilder stuff especially.
