Anyone know how I can burn my old VHS's onto DVD, I have a panasonic VHS, and a LG Multi Burner, my vhs sits in a box in the closet, but I would llike to backup my classic movies onto dvd.



But I haven't ever done it before. My computer is a P4 2.8 ghz, 120 gig hd, 512 ram. in a box in my closet I have an old ATI all in wonder 64 meg video card VIVO.

Did you want to make it DVD format? Or just looking to convert it to a DivX for burning to a DVD? You can do it with a VCR and cap card, thats what i do unfortunatly because you cant encode 2 pass with a VHS the quality wont be exactly the best.

Ray, it's not just box office movies, I also have early Sick & Twisted movies, I have stuff I haven't seen on dvd, I also have unusual Japanimation.



Invisi, I dont care which, I just want to preserve the movies. I have old beta-max videos that have turned to goo, and are lost for ever. I want to try and protect my vhs as best as I can.

Looks nice, How much is that Canadian (grin) I dont want more toys, I already have a dvd burner, and a high end VCR, and a video capture card. Cause once I burn my collection, it'll sit in the colset and collect dust along with my old Laser Disc (before DVD), VCR, and my Beta max, 2 8mm cameras, 1-16 mm camera (both analog reel to reel), plus other junk, which will all be collectable someday (I think)
