Is it possible to install WG 3.30 fresh and MUD 1.11o fresh and just copy over your user.dats? Im just looking to retain user exp/items/ganghouse stuff only things like that... I dont know if its possible or not (Im guessing its not) just curious though...

it's entirely possible. just backup the old dats before hand and export each of the ganghouses to an export file. then install everything fresh, put in wccuser2, wccgang2, wccbank2, and wccitow2 from the backup. then import those ganghouse exports. run an offline recovery. i think that'd work.

On a side note.. If I where to use NM to edit a user... And I wanted to change their race from one to another, (not their class just race) would that user retain all their quest flags/quest bonus's etc?

yea, but there are some dlls that will strip abilities when entering the realm based on class/race if not patched.

For example...

D-elf ninja to Neko Ninja

What would it strip? Just specific race abilities..??.. or will it strip added quest bonus abilites etc?

the only abilities that are stripped are ones that are granted to the char by being specifically added (2nd quest bonuses are automatically changed to the appropriate ones for the class, see hidden is stripped from all but gaunts, perfect stealth is stripped from classes that can't get it) - so in your example, nothing would be stripped. the racial abilities are added automatically by the game according to the values in the dats, and have nothing to do with the dll, as far as i know.

So more or less it acts the same as if a race/class change where available..

d-elf ninja to dwarf priest would still keep all bonus's/quest's etc as as long as that particular class/race is able to have those abilities... mod 2 quest would just be switched to the proper one for the class chosen etc? Or am I wrong? It's pretty nice to know this, however in my case its just gonna be a d-elf ninja to neko ninja for one of my users.. Just wanted to make sure he would retain all his abilities/quests etc and not LOSE any of those bonus's... Thanks...
