WG 3.0, 3.1, 3.11, 3.12?

Hey guys. Long time no post here. ;)

I was just wondering if anyone had a DEMO copy of one of these WG's, since no one on the entire internet seems to have it, including whoever's making WG now. I'd like to try getting Lords of Cyberspace working on my bbs, and it seems it doesn't work on my copies of 3.2 or 3.3.

I can't help but feel that $999 for a 32 user license is a little excessive, if you know what I mean. ;)

If anyone can help me out, please e-mail me at DaDemon@gmail.com

Much appreciated.

Er, sorry about that bit that was editted out. Wasn't sure if it was appropriate ;)

As a secondary notice, I would like for the NT version of any of the WGs. Also, 3.12 would be preferred.

I have nothing to give in return, unfortunately, I have a handful of Worldgroup stuff from when I ran a board a bit back, but nothing spectacular.

Oh, if someone wants to hook me up, I can return the favor with a GMail invite, if they want. I'd like to give back, but I dunno what else to offer.

Thanks in advance. Peace.

Can no one help me? :hmm:

Does anyone know where I could find any resources then? I would like to get this going so I could start work on making a WG-emulator like engine, to play the cool WG games without WG. Any info would help here. Thanks.

Writing an emulator would probably require the WorldGroup Dev Kit (another $1000) as well as a lot of experience using it... the docs are god-awful, seemingly impossible for a new WG developer to learn. Rather than WG 3 having development docs, they simply provide WG 1 docs, and then have huge "changes since ..." help files for WG 1-->2, and then 2-->3. Horrible, just horrible.

Best of luck to you with an emulator, but honestly I don't even think it's practically possible without the help of an experience WG developer (anyone out there know how to track down Lance J Neuman somewhere in canada?? :)
