Worldgroup now causes severe lag

ABout a month back the BBS itself (no not due to traffic, i had 4 people on and did the same thing) started causing TREMENDOUS lag. If i ping my address while the server is live its like 1200-2800ms, when its down its like 58ms and the BBS response time itself is always 5ms. PLenty of RAM and processor speed, but something in the WG itself is devouring bandwidth.

Before anyone even logs on the Pings skyrocket. Its not running our of memory, processor power or swap file space. The WG Server itself is only at a load of 2% yet just running it LAG EVERYTHING!

Only other service im running is Apache 2.0.34 and MySQL, both of which i've run since the BBS has been up and have never had an issue before. I even disable apache to see if that was part of it.

Im pinging from a remote computer at work.

it's probably not your computer then. run a trace route on it ("tracert hostname.com") and see where the pings start jumping.

They start jumping just before they hit my IP address. The issue has been confirmed by many of my users.

paste your tracert output. just because its been confirmed by your users doesn't make the problem yours. if there is a problem with a router in your area it would effect everyone. if it's a problem in the middle of the US somewhere, it may only effect users on one side of it. i dont get any ping lag and my tracert is clear when i trace lunardynamics.com.
