fun little bug with tickdown spells - it appears the level (exp multiplier in nmr) field was never meant to be used, or was never finished in this aspect anyway. metro, however, being metro, used it anyway even though there's absolutely no need. when a monster is killed with a tickdown spell, the tickdown spell splits the number in the base exp field with every person engaged, but it doesn't check the multiplier at all.

another note on this: if you're using nmr to multiply boss exp, it modifies the exp multiplier rather than the base exp field at the moment, which will cause much more frequent problems with tickdown spells screwing people of exp. i'd recommend doing it manually with the universal mod rather than using the built-in nmr function (which just calls the universal mod anyway, but the default settings will cause problems)
