Server specs: BBS is hosted on a 3.2ghz laptop with over 180gb's of HD, 1 gig of pc2700 ram. Server is running off of a 768k dedicated DSL line.

Areas/Items/Classes/Monsters are all tested thoroughly on a test server before they are inserted into the game. Board rarely, if ever crashes or goes offline if you are looking for a board that doesn't crash 2-3x (or more) a week. New areas/items e.t.c are put in every couple of weeks. Currently the game is playable to level 100.

Very friendly realm, mudops are always available to give assistance to new players. Once your main character hits 100k experience, let MistWeaver or Wulfgar know and they will give you 25 runics to get you started on your road to adventure!

MMexplorer dat file is available in the Boink Machines forums. Hit 'f' from the main menu and select forum: mmexplore -- to download the file.

Boink Machine will be offline likely until the end of the summer.

We had a small fire in my office and our entertaintment/family room while we were on vacation, caused smoke damage to the laptop that was hosting the board.

I have full backups of the board on another hard drive, but nothing to host it on currently... Have a possible host that I am looking into.

Thanks for everyone's encouraging words and thoughts through everything with the fire... It's good to know that there are people out there who wish to encourage rather than flame and bash.

Catch you on the Boink side!

it was probably the laptop that caused the fire...

you don't host a server on a laptop, period.
