Dragon Legends is presently in the dev stage, and is a mud completely done from scratch, using the core of majormud, meaning the feel will be the same, but the game itself will be completely different.

The current public dev team is Hobo_Bill (somewhat), myself, Rust_in_Peace, and a few others that shall remeain nameless for awhile.

This mud has been in dev for awhile, and will probably continue to do so, in order to bring a unique and fun mud that is more quest driven than script driven.

And thanks again Aragon :)

Well, it's looking up.

we have quite a bit of meat concerning storyline, classes/races, history and some maps going, but it looks like the core coding might change with the help of someone, perhaps keep the look and feel of the code, but using a different codebase, making the game more dynamic, and then I can add in events and such.

Presently we have:

Races: Done

Classes: In progress, due to future code changes

Combat system: In progress due to code change

Magic System: see combat system

Maps: Starting realm invisioned, and presently being populated and fleshed out

History: Historical and present wars done

Quest system: invisioned and written out ready to be coded

Core coding: Due to start progress soon

Basically we have a lot of meat, but no skin or skeleton yet, and then it'll need to be polished.

Sorry to keep it so vague atm, but you know how ideas go, you could probably see more in the dev forum when I get the paperwork together for posting.

Yes, I keep hardcopy backups, just in case, just like this present problem with my OS running NMR, which it won't, but a pc wipe will happen sometime near tuesday, so that should help.

wow, I feel bad now, my name was mentioned and I haven't done a damn thing.. Kai - I'll make a concerted effort to start up my messenger proggy so that I can actually take an active part in the development. What's the best time to catch you online?

Usually between 3 and 7:30 pst on weekdays, almost all day on weekends...

Also for an updated note, the new serial HD has been bought and is sitting next to me as we speak, hasn't been put in yet, as today was another LONG ass day at work (10.5 hours this time, and I get another tomorrow) so it will be in definately by this weekend, and VS .NET will be installed, as well as SQL, so we'll see how it all runs from there, all the creative staff needs to keep (or get) on the ball to keep the ideas and things rolling in order to make the final product worth playing :)
