Okay so heres the deal. I fixed us up to be running 2 muds. LiveMud will be, well, live. :)

Okay, so here is the deal...



If you want to play LiveMud, then play it live! If you are caught scripting, there will be penaltys! First time=Warning, Second time=Suspension, Third time=Longer suspension and stripped of limited items, if it happens again after that, yer banned!



Notice: These aren't rules, they are guidlines, and may be amended by a majority vote.



Also, just like the guidelines, I am willing to accept suggestions on edits and put them to a vote as well.



As far as having 2 accounts, I do not care what you do with them. The only RULE is this: You may only have 1 of your accounts logged into LiveMud, AT ANY TIME! Now, you can have 2 chars, but only 1 in at a time. You can have chars in both muds on both accounts, and both accounts in Grotesque 1.1 at the same time, but only 2 accounts per IP max, and only one in LiveMud at a time.

The same penaltys as if you are caught scripting will apply to the accounts in LiveMud issue. Now, the BBS is back up and we are looking forward to seeing some people come check us out!

Not yet... I will be working on it in all of my free time. However I must admit that I suffer from a severe lack of creativity. That being said, anyone who has any ideas or would be interested in helping out a little bit can feel free to give me a shout on ICQ or the BBS... I am Beta in LiveMud, and Ungrah in Grotesque. Also, I just want to throw it out there that I noticed a pretty ugly lag problem that lasts until the Maps Initialize in both games... I have UPDATE_SPEED=5 in both INIs, but that doesn't really seem to help out much. Is there a way to fix this that I have overlooked? :hmm: I thought that I had been pretty thouragh in my searches, and haven't come up with much.

Go to General Setup -> WCCMUD -> INITRATE and set this # high and it will init all the files before the bbs will allow calls to come through, however this also means the bbs will take a hella lot longer to load up.

I am sorry to announce that Grotesque will NOT be running a live mud. I had it all setup and working well, and it created severe lag problems in both games. I originally came up with the idae as a way to attract some more users, however, that was not the results I have recieved. We had a total of 2 people interested in playing a live game, and a live game just isn't that fun with all of three people. Also, I feel obligated to my users who have been playing Grotesque 1.1, and have to take into consideration what they think and their gameplay experiance. So anyways, it sounded like a great idea when I thought of it, I gave it a try, and it didn't work out. So anyways, now I will be devoting most of my time to developing Grotesque even further, as it is something that just won't go away. Sorry if you had your hopes up, but I have to do what is going to work the best for my users.
