OK. *Lets just say that WG decided to do a recovery and restored the original files. *so as far as i know my characters are gone because i didnt make a back up file. *well i'm new at this still, and the only people that play on my non-public board are a few friends and myself so far. *but there were guys with 100 mil exp.

to get to the point. i dont want to do things the old fashioned way anymore. *i want more options for classes and races. *I want lower exp tables.

What i have doe about it:

downloaded MMEDIT and Nightmare

and thats where i am right now. *i tried opening them i get a whole bunch of missing file type errors with nightmare and a lot of blank boxes with MMEDIT.

forgive me i am new and ignorant about editing but is there an instruction manual for one of these programs?

how do i use the editing programs?

what files am i going to be editing?

and most importantly, how do i back up character files?

wow i have sooooo much to learn b4 my bbs goes public

ok i installed MMEDIT into my worldgroup server file (thats the directory you were refering to i hope) now i get the error

"TProgressBar property out of range"

whats that mean? what am i not doing?

First did u delete the wccupda2.dat file?
