(My relationship again)

Well, alright everyone..Erin has left me. Honestly, I think it was a long time comming. Neither of us are really "upset" of the fact that we split up. I think we both really broke up long ago, and got over each other before we split. I am glad, however that Hayley still gets to see both of us and we aren't fighting about Hayley.

Right now things are still a little tense, but I think over time Erin and I can be great friends. I guess we tried to hard to make things work for to long when we should have ended it a long time ago. I feel that if we ended it a long time ago then we wouldn't fight as much as we do. I am not sure how long it will take for us to stop fighting 100%, but I am sure it will happen. We have gotten a lot better apart.

I feel that what Erin is doing right now, she has every right to do. She had Hayley young, and never did the things a 16-20 year old does. I never stopped her from doing any of these things..but either way, she is doing them now. So I hope she is happy.

I myself, have always wanted a family and I still feel I am a family man minus the wife. I think this is the main reason why Erin and I never got married. I think when I asked her to marry me we are on different terms...better terms. As time grew, we grew a part. I just dont think we are right for each other.

Who knows, we are both still young, she is 20 and I am 23...We will always have Hayley in common. Maybe in 5, 10, 20, 30...If I ever get to 50 and not married..I will be upset lol but maybe it was just to early for us.

I will always love Erin, and Erin will always love me. We just aren't "IN LOVE" anymore. It happens, and I would like to hear some replys on your experiences or comments. I tried not to make this bias for either side. Tell me if I am wrong..

I feel your pain. ;) I was adopted when I was 5, and never had the chance to really get to know my family until I was over 18. So I've always had this real strong feeling (urge) to have a family of my own. And I thought I'd found what I was looking for in my ex, Carrie. I'd just moved back to California from Texas to kick a serious meth addiction and was visiting an old friend of mine when I met Carrie. Right away I was hooked, and within a month we had moved in together. She had also just kicked the "shit", and we had alot of other things in common as well, it just seemed perfect. I hadn't found work yet, neither one of us had cars, and we were living in a 2 room straight up SHACK, but nothing could kill the life that she'd filled me with. I had grown very close to her son (from an ex-husband), he called me Daddy, and we were the perfect little family, I thought. I was dying to get married, even though we had started having problems, and her family was all for it. We even set a date, which came and went, no marriage. Long story short, she wasn't done partying yet, and I was long since past that point. Finally things got so bad I decided it was best for both of us if I left. So I moved out of the only "home" I've ever really felt was my own, left my dog, cat, bird, and "son" and moved in with some friends. It's been about 6 months since we broke up, we're both finally over everything (I think), and we're great friends who can talk about anything at all. I still love her with all my heart, and probably always will. Sure, it sucks that things went down the way they did, I really saw myself with her for the rest of my life. But I look at it this way: when we met we both had nothing, and over the course of our 2 1/2 year relationship we both got vehicles, good jobs, a nice house, kicked our addictions. Neither one of us could've done it alone, so even though I lost what I really wanted, I took something from the relationship that will help me through life. I also have a great friend who listens to everything I have to bitch about, and applauds my victories. Sorry bout the long ass message, but I read yours, Brunt, and just had to share my experience. You'll always love Erin, I'm sure, as she will you, and you have a child together, which binds you together for life. You may have lost someone you thought you'd have forever, but you're taking something away with you as well.
