Well, On my computer I like to download alot of south park as well as other movies. For a while, this went on fine. I would download it, and watch it through either Windows Media Player, or the DIVX player. However, my computer has this new "thing". It will start the movie, I'll see maybe the 1st screen at times. Other times, It wont even show the first one. I can still hear the sound, but the visual part is gone. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It tends to be that if I dont watch any movies for a while, it will work, but If I start watching movies again, it starts messing up again! So, does anyone have any idea what would cause this, or possible how to remedy it? I'd be greatly appreciative to anyone who could help, because this has caused me alot of frustration. Thanks!

Are you sure you're describing it properly? Are there any other "factors" or "events" that occur before you watch the movie? I.E. are you screwing with anything, changing any settings? Do you have software doing any of that?



What you describe is typical of hardware problems such as overheating... but can video cards overheat???



That's all I can say since video cards aren't really my thing....

Nope, nothing else. I just go to watch a movie and it messes up, I can't find anything. Is it possible that my version of direct x died or something?
