So about the 20th person asked me about installing v1.11o fresh and having the room database be screwed up afterwards ...



When you install v1.11o fresh and you see that conversion process running, guess what it's doing. It's converting a map file that is already converted. This is what you want to do ...

Start the install and install it to your WG dir.


At the end of the install, click ok on the screens.


You will soon see a DOS window that will copy some files and then begin a conversion process. When it starts the conversion, press Control+C ... BUT DON'T SAY YES to the terminate batch file prompt.


Press 'N' for no on the terminate prompt (and then press enter)








Now wait for it to finish installing/extracting all the gang house files and such. You'll have to press enter a few more times.


After it's done doing its thing, browse to your WG directory.


Find and delete the file, wccmp002.dat


Go to your majormud install directory (the one with the setup.exe) and run: "icomp -d wccmmud.z wccmp002.vir"


Rename that wccmp002.vir to wccmp002.dat and put it in your WG directory


Now finish your install/configurations like you would any other.

I didn't have the .vir file in the same directory, i had one in another. I tried putting that in, gave me room errors, so i just tried it with the existing wccmp002.wc2 in the same directory and it worked.

a lot of ppl seem to run into this, i thought the vir files were dumped in by default. anyways, i just made the extracting of the vir file a standard for the procedure.

I just installed 1.11o fresh, but every Room has max money of all types, how the heck do i fix that?

Ok, i'll start over, but this is the second time i've done this, basically I install WG 3.30, then I install MMud 1.11o, put activation codes in for mud, and plus, and disable ftp, http, pop3 from WG, get in game and activate mod1 through 9, and it has same result, what should i do differentlt?

Well here is what I am doing....

I have a Quad Xeon 500hz, with 4 GB of RAM, on a 100mb Dedicated ISP Colo Space. I want to setup a Large MUD that can support alot of users to have fun and socialize, so any help is appreciated!

Well its all good now... hehe re-did the extract, and now its ok, gotta start my editing up then i'll post my monster board up. thanks!
