i suspended these two accounts for duping. only after i asked the realm if anyone knew them and tried to telepath them. i also left in the suspension message my AIM name so they could AIM me. note, this is a 35 minutes conversation, that could have been 10 seconds.

You must love sysop-ing, otherwise you *would've* handled the conversation in 10 seconds. :)

Syntax, you have more patience than I do, after "prick" I would have banned his IP, and told him to fuck off. and dont let the door kick him in the head on the way out.



Him not seeing the RULES, 1 account per IP, is bullshit. Hell you can't miss it as when you log, it seems to slow down a little bit right at that point.







BTW: What is account deletion time, as I haven't been on Morbid in awhile. is my account/char still there or is it gone?

I would've yelled my head off, banned his IP, and told all the other sysops in here to ban it, too. Last I checked, if you get an answer, you listen to it, even if you're waiting to hear from a sysop if it's right. Or, better yet, you read the logon screens and mud entrance message to see if there's anything in there you need to know (and, well, there was). It's amazing how uncommon common sense is.



I love how people who get a service for free that someone else puts a lot of time into for free feel like they're owed the world. Does anyone else here get sick and tired of people bitching that their free entertainment isn't built around their own needs? If my brother wanted to play mud, and I didn't know if more than 1 character per IP was allowed, he could sit on his ass for 2 days until I found out.

And yes, when he asked in the realm how many chars per IP and someone told him one, that should have been it..he shouldn't have had to ask a sysop, he already got his answer.



Also - The first time you log onto a BBS, you have to set up your login, right? Well..I hope this teaches everyone a lesson to PAY ATTENTION next time.
