Just a suggestion. Make another forum, call it "Archives -- Look Here First" and move all of your sticky threads there. More than half the page is taken up by stickies -- just seems very cluttered.. *shrug*

how about a single thread stickied with links and descriptions to the threads?

That might make the threads themselves more liable to be lost with time due to whatever message board updates/glitches that could happen.

the threads are in the database by a record number with a flag that they're stuck or not. a database glitch would be a problem either way.

Well, whichever way you think is best. I just thought i'd make the suggestion because it's too cluttered on the forum thread list. If you do 1 thread, i'd say keep the newer stickies stuck for a while by themselves before moving them into the thread.

i was just getting ready to do this and then thought to myself ... is clutter the only reason? i agree it is cluttered, but the clutter isn't really doing any harm. personally, i like the stickies right there 'cause i remember where they are and when people ask me about something i can quickly grab the link.



i could see it if they were pushing new threads off the list, but on the default view of 25 threads/page we're still showing threads from october '02 at the bottom. plus you're not gonna go page my page looking for a thread usually, you're gonna use the search feature.
