they say that after the return of the king comes on dvd they're going to add about 30 minutes of material and compact the trilogy into 1 10 hour long movie....



all i can say is WOW that's a long movie....

I read somewhere that they were adding four hours of footage to every movie and the final one is going to be 20 hours long on one minidisc that plays on all cd players!

I heard it was going to be 100 hours long with out any breaks. And you had to buy a speacial player just to watch it ;)

i own "the stand" (stephen king) on dvd and have watched that all the way through three or four times. that's a 6 hour a movie. long movies rule (pending they're good).

True...if the movie is good, and you are at your house ready to settle in, a nice long movie is great....I sit and watched all the Indina Jones movies the other day.

I saw lotr 1 and star wars 2 in an Israeli theater, and they have intermission. Its an Allahsend when you've been sucking on a 32 oz-ahem-soda.
