activation code for livejournal.com required

currently when i go to livejournal.com it says i need an activation code, which i think is given from a member. so are there any livejournal.com members that can hook me up? i'd be a member myself, but they made it now a $5 fee! =\
i just need to view an article, i'm not going to create anything...
