I was just wondering if the source code for Redux is available? I've looked over sourceforge, and the nightmere homepage with no success. Can anyone help out?
Thanks,

There's no source code available. Syntax said he might release it when he stops working on it.

No real reason for the source to be released. Syntax makes damn near any possible change that would enhances its capabilities as it is.

Well, I do have a reason to have it. But I wouldn't actually want it for like 8months to a year away. I'm just doings some looking around.
I'll check back when I would actually need it.
Thanks for the responses.

what would you need it for? and i will release it when i'm done with it, there is no doubt about it. the only reason i dont release it now is because i dont want "nightmare redux redux v3.08 redux" being released by someone. i have given the source to a few people before.

not to mention trying to pass it all off as their own, and whatnot.

Grin, I agree..theres no real reason to need the source code. If theres something you'd like to see done with NMR, tell Syntax..he's very good about implementing requests and whatnot if they're deemed worthy of implementing. What else could you need it for besides new features, which Syntax does a fine job at producing himself? ;)

I really don't need anything out of nightmare, but I just want to know the structure of the MajorMud data files. I was thinking that I'd be able to pull out the structure of the files a lot easier from the Redux source than trying to figure it out my self by analyzing the Majormud dat files, and reading the hex documents online.
But I have too much other stuff going on to do what I want to do with it. I'm just looking into it for future reference.

It's been done by several people. If you are embarking upon a project that requires you to pull data from the dats, and it would take -that- long to figure it out, you shouldn't be embarking upon the project.
Shrug. You shoulda just asked for someones help on how the data is extracted, not the entire source code from the program.
