new character crashes system

whenever a new user telnets in and creates a char my server crashes
running
WG 3.2
MUD 1.11n
WinXP Pro
Open Programs
Mega
Sygate Firewall - (DOES allow outside users to access system)
hardware
NetGear 10/100 NIC
Cable Modem

is it if they create any race/class combo? is it if it's only with a new class or new race? do you have any new classes/races?

no its un-edited except for exp and happens with any race/class combo
it seems i can make a char fine on my system and them have someone else log on and use them but they cannot create one without problems occuring

no error message computer either freezes or restarts

i would almost say to reinstall WG. if it's unedited then it's not like it's something you did to mud. or do you mean just the races/classes are not edited? are you sure it's fine when you make a char? cause if it is, that would point to a WG key problem. see if you can narrow it down to a specific class (WG account class i mean) that it doesnt work on, etc.

in all the years ive run wg (on many different cpus) i have never had it just hang the system... reinstalling wg is probably your only option if you are positive theres nothing wrong with the computer itself... maybe your cpu or ram is going bad.. or possibly your hard drive has some bad sectors.. if reinstalling wg doesnt solve anything, try putting your computer through a stress test.. (burn-in software)
