For my best friend Nick and my sister in law Michelle, I loved them both.

Why am I telling you this, well Nick worked in the WTC on the 108th floor and Michelle always accompanied him to work.

I have known Nick since 1989 when I had just started at UBC, I bummed a smoke off him and we started talking, well we hung out together almost every day for 3 years, we had some of the same classes. When he finished in June of 1992 he went back to New York. The years that followed I would go visit him, or he would come visit me. in 1997 when I got married he was my best man, and the maid of honor was my sister in law, it was almost love at first sight. The were suppose to get married May of 2002.

Last winter a very close friend of mine in Toronto Ontario had this sculpture made and sent me a jpeg photo of it, which I will share with all of you. And to share with those of you who was effected by September 11, 2001.

The picture has been out since 2001. We've all seen it since that winter. You seem to know all the people who send these pictures around, you must be a popular guy.

Yesterday I got food at Sonic. I ordered about $15 worth of food. Somehow, my total came to $9.11. It was odd. I asked if there was like a 9-11 special and the (extremely hot) carhop told me there wasn't. Hrm...
