Reviewing old threads: Hidden Sys Commands

I was just flipping through and noticed this old thread from 2001.

I wasn't about to revive it (as per tradition on here)

But what are the hidden sys commands?

And how do I find/use them are they still accessable?

Are they worth having using or does Nightmare make them obselete?

Also can these commands be used while the game is loaded?

But what are the hidden sys commands?

The main ones are sys conjure, sys monster, and sys edit. Sys conjure brings in an item, as long as all the limiteds aren't out. Sys monster brings a monster to your room, sorted by monster number (sys monster 1, etc...) Sys edit can edit your character's attributes. There's also sys debug and stuff, but I dunno who has actually used them or cares about them.

No point, see next question.

Nightmare makes them obsolete.

They have to be used while the game is loaded. When you conjure an item, it appears in your inventory right away. When you summon a monster, it appears in the room right away. Sys edit works the same.

Didn't all that go away after 1.11j? I believe the last version with sys edit and such was 1.11i.

Yeah, it's gone, but I answered his questions specifically.

i think they are worth having if u plan on running an old enough version... NMR can do the same thing, but takes more time and effort... Its just alot easier to type sys conjure torch tahn it is to fire up NMR, go to the item DB, figure out what # torch is, then go to the user editor and add the torch...

sys tele was the best, and definitely most used

it was the most legit one of all of them, the rest were cheap and could not be practically used

Technically, 1.11h was the last version with those commands. Most of the hexed boards running when 1.11i came out were running on a 1.11h dll..hence why some 1.11i realms had those sys commands. Very few had the authentic 1.11i dll, such as AdmiralAcid's Collision-X board.
