Kain and I are attending Mardi Gras 2004. Any ideas or suggestion on where we should go , what we should do, or maybe what not to do or where not to go?

go to new orleans, and see some titties. also you will want to drink as much liqour as possible.



as for what not to do...well you will wanna stay away from jail. and diseased hookers. :)

Are you a kain a couple of queers? If so, there are plenty of faggot bars in the french quarter. If you're straight, i would sugget going to Jimmy Buffett's margaritaville during the day, getting a nice bite to eat and hearing some killer live bands. Then after the sun goes down walking down the main strip in the old section of towne. They'll be a shitload of people there. Keep your wallet in a safe place, don't use public bathrooms & USE fucking protection. During the day after you and Kain sleep of your drunks go catch the blues and jazz acts. They're some of the best. Plus be sure to visit a head shop and buy a voodoo doll or a shrunken head or something as a cool souvenir. Stock up on beads and solicit as many drunks whores as you possibly can too. Mardis gras is the single most bitching time anywhere in the world, arguably even better than rio de janeiro's carnivale, so have fun and enjoy it. It is the opportunity of a lifetime.

I have been to, Mardi Gras, Rio's Carnival & Trindad & Tobago Carnival, and I agree with Voodoo, Mardi Gras is a better than Rio's Carnival. Only Trinidad & Tobago's Carnival is slightly better than both, but thats just a personal opinion.



Here is some tips for you, Take a money belt, and/or take a shoulder bag somewhere other than your back-pocket for your wallet and valueables, or better yet leave that shit in your hotel, pickpockets run rampant through out. Your going to need at least a couple of boxes of condoms, at times Double wrap the little fucker. AVOID alley ways at all possible as shit happens, also use your head (the big one with the brains) Before you guys get seperated (and you will) pick a point and time to meet back up.



But most of all HAVE FUN, DRINK LOTS, GET LAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely don't try to score smoke and then resell it in dark alleys. I agree with Pantharen about dark alleys, friend got mugged in one when we were there years ago...it was a couple weeks after mardi gras even. Stay in groups, don't seperate. Visit Big Daddy's! hehe

yes please do take pantharens advice.. pickpockets are everywhere. i keep my shit at home now, but my first mardi gras i kept my purse held in both hands in front of me, and waylon walked in front of me the whole time. of course that didnt stop the perverts from touching my ass... but atleast my money didnt get stolen:) unless you like the smell of shit/piss/alcohol all mixed in, i'd stear clear of bourbon st at night. i've only been to bourbon st. one time during mardi gras, and i could lift my feet up and still be carried down the street - that's how many people are down there. im not exaggerating either:)



but if you like to see naked women on the balconies giving men lap dances, and gods knows what else - then by all means go down there.

Well we definetly aren't queer. So I will stay away from the gay bars. The dark Alleyways seems to be a recurring theme so I'll definetly stay away from them. Staying for 4 damn nights so if any New Orleanians wanna show up and drink some lemme know.

Oh yeah, and when you're down there don't forget to speak like a French cajun redneck. Remember it isn't New Orleans, it's Nawleans.
