Which WG files hold the account info for User-ID's? I want to move all accounts from one board to another, but not lose any WG or MUD settings except the accounts.

wgsuser.dat or galuser.dat or something of that sort.. i forget, i havent fucked with wg user files since mbbs 6.25

is there a copy of mbbs 6.25 floating around somewhere? and would mud work on it? or would it require a different patch?

mud would work on it (DOS version), but mbbs doesn't support TCP/IP. you need a version of worldgroup for that.

there is a TCP/IP module for MajorBBS v6.25 but I've only seen it once and this was a long time ago.. (maybe on wghack.com)

i'm a little confused about your request here ...



you say first that want to move all the BBS and MUD accounts to another bbs. but then in the next part of the sentance you say you want to lose the accounts but not any WG or MUD settings.

Maybe he means he wants to delete the user file so when he moves the bbs he'll start from scratch on the accounts?

i think he wants to move his WG user file (WGSUSER.DAT or whatever) and his mud settings (guess thats WCCMMUD.DLL + WCCMMUD.INI) to a new directory with a freshly installed WG\MMUD with his mud settings + same user base... dunno why he just doesn't copy his mud settings to a different dir and delete WCCMMUD*.*.....

Sounds fishy to me, like someone wants to look at passwords and user-id's.. but don't listen to me..
