Example of irresponsible legislation (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=5&u=/ap/20030630/ap_on_go_co/frist_gay_marriage_4)
This is a perfect example of the legislative branch overstepping their boundaries. The people that are sponsoring this are trying to destroy the constitution and every principle this country was founded on. I compare this to the struggle for civil rights, because it is a perfect example of ignorance hurting this country.

"Generally, I think matters such as sodomy should be addressed by the state legislatures," Frist said. "That's where those decisions — with the local norms, the local mores — are being able to have their input in reflected.
"And that's where it should be decided, and not in the courts."
When the government wants to regulate what you do in the prvacy of your own home, theres a large problem.
