I have 6 NPC's I setup for quests. Each one lives for about 1 minute then they commit suicide. I do a sys stat, and it says the monster was last killed on blahblahblah. Heres 2 pics of how they are setup. I used other npc's in game to copy how they are setup. I also tryed them with index 0

hp's over 10k get really screwy after a while, but if you want them to not die, plat has the right idea.

Well, he set them to 65535. HP are stored in the database as a 16-bit integer-- now I think everyone has always assumed that the HP were treated as an unsigned integer, meaning the valid range is 0 to 65535. But if the game internally treats them as signed 16-bit integers, then the real range is -32768 to 32767. A value of 65535 maps to -1 if it's treated as signed. That might explain the problem. So the moral would be, if I'm correct, not to set a monsters HP's beyond 32767. =)
