alright i just registered a domain name last night at about midnight from www.godaddy.com for $7 for this year. Anyway, I forwarded it to a url and it still says that it's not found.
My question is this: Does it usually take a while for it to actually be registered? I didn't see anything in their help files regarding this. It's been about 11 hours. Does anyone have any experience with domain name registration? I thought it was instant...
thx for input

It can take up to 4 days for it to go into effect if I'm not mistaken. I remember mine took about 48-72 hours to start working.

Yeah, if you want it to point to your board, your going to have to run a local name server on your network, along with purchasing static ips. It's a lot more difficult and complicated then just registering the domain name and pointing it to your connection. Looks like that this is not the case, however.
Domain name propigation can take up to 72 hours. If it's still not working after that, you have a problem.
