Everyone has had a channel on IRC at one time or another.



My question is.



Can I run an fserve?



There's no telling what the fserve will hold.

Ewie..so many people like IRC, and I can for the life of me figure out why. I cannot stand IRC at all, will never use it again..I don't care how much free software I can get off of it..heh.

yeah of all of the sources, IRC is still the best for gettin whatcha want

considering it's where bbs warez went global, and it's the only place the government can't shut down. All they can do is close a channel.

government can't shut it down, but they can trace you, and they sure as hell do. i got 3 or 4 friends that were given direct warnings to cease and desist with that IRC warez. and their ISP was told to discontinue them as a client

i'm an irc junkie. I'm on it 24/7 and will probably not stop until irc DIES. I dont irc for the warez, though. i just irc because i've been doing it for as long as i can remember. Bad habit i guess...

ya we are freebsd nuts on the side ;) ...



anyhoo you can run or do whatever you want in the channel, that is the point of irc, its totally free and you can do whatever you want.. and no government can't take the channel, and about them tracing the ip, they can't do that if you use a bounce :)



anyhoo i am starting up a bbs myself that i will be advertising in the channel if anyone wants to try a new mud
