I mean Dao Lord, of course. (I've heard 5th alignment sucks too, but that's a ways away)...



We had a group of 7 chars (all level 30+) on the 4th floor... party leader went 8 rooms into the path, and 4 of the members fell. We checked maps, she was in the right room and right path, and 3 of us were still there... so wtf?



We did have a minor problem at the rakshasa library, our witchhunter got a 'you cannot cast that spell' message when he attempted to peruse the books, and the other members of the party were unable to read the books (no effect when tried), but had no trouble perusing them.. would that have any effect on this, or is majormud just being fucking gay? We're planning on going back tomorrow in 2 groups to attempt it... but if anyone has any insight on why the game has screwed us over?

You have to have high intellect to peruse books. I think.

that quest is as long, if not longer than the 5th.

Dao Lord quest is easy...Reckless seems to think its hard..



5th quest is much longer, and much harder.

too much crap to do for 1 AC.

heh..it's fun..it's challenging, unlike most things with that game.



I admit, the first time I did it, it took me about 5 hours straight...I've done it 2 times since in about an hour. It's not THAT bad..heh.



And..nod, too much to do for 1 AC..but spiked obsidian collar, meteorite rod, and golden headdress are worth the quest too.

The way I understood it, the only int check was on perusing the red book... Which everyone (except the witchy) could do w/o problems. Is the book considered magic or something, and thus witchy-exempt? Or is our witchy just dumb and not typing it right?



Everyone else was unable to read either book, no problems w/ the perusing part.

I'd have to go with the "witchy is dumb" excuse. Everyone in your group has been together since the beginning of the quest and didn't miss any part of it did they?



Witchy's can use the sunstone, I don't see why they wouldn't be able to do the quest.

Not quite... 2 of us were from an old group that tried Dao Lord about a month back and failed horribly, we had entire prequest done. The rest of the group joined tonight and all prequested seperately, because they joined at different times... but they all did all of the prequest, we walked them through all of it, and then took them to the library where we discovered the witchie's problem. After about 10 minutes of trying to figure out wtf was with that, everyone said screw it, met up at the small pyramid, and wen't off to slay the pharoah.. Til level 4 dropped 4 of 7 members into the pits.

i did this quest Along time ago! and i remember having some kind of problems with the reading of the 2 books. I think you might wanna try reading them multiple times...
